After some post event celebrations last night we awoke this morning to face reality that we are now coming to the end of the challenge and have to return to normality after an amazing adventure. We were again privileged to have sunny clear skies from our hotel breakfast room.
Cars were cleaned out, Lois was taken to the airport as he had an early flight to Buenos Aires to meet his wife but we will meet up tomorrow evening.
We responded to many comments on this blog site, individual emails and viewed Instagram comments.
Some took time to visit the tacky shops just in case there was any hope of buying Christmas presents, there wasn’t.
John and Mike took their wives who had also arrived in Ushuaia to the end of the world post office – closed on Saturdays.
Chris, Craig and Frankie went to visit Ushuaia Rugby Club where there was a “sevens” tournament in full swing. We met up at Ushuaia Golf Club, the most Southern Located course in the world, but we didn’t play a round as we were not correctly attired but in fact it was far too cold for us, but many hardy types were playing.
Lunch was at the Hard Rock Cafe,
and then an afternoon of admin, sorting accounts, checking in for flights etc prior to an excellent meal at restaurant Kaupe which offered a great menu and also excellent wines one of which was using grapes from a certain Finca Ambrosia, well-known to the team.
The venue provided some perfect views on which to reflect on our achievements
We will complete our blogs in the next couple of days providing some info & data about the trip, personal thoughts on what we have achieved and our feelings about our adventure and closing comments.
Stayed tuned, we head up to Buenos Aires (by plane) tomorrow, prior to flights to various home locations on Monday.
Our America’s Challenge Drive 
Congratulations guys! What an achievement – all that way and all those experiences – but the greatest achievement was staying together and arriving at the same time! I was going to ask you to bring me a bottle of Last Hope gin but, judging from the description of the owners, I guess it would be rather bitter! Best wishes to all. Allan and Ann
