Karen and Maureen write:
Well hello! We have been given the opportunity to break some rules – so we wouldn’t want to be rude! Rule no 1 was no women in the car – rule no 73(b) was no women on the blog – but rules are meant to be broken. We definitely opted out of the car but the blog is a challenge!
Keen readers of the blog may have noticed a severe lack of Pattersons yesterday – due to a 24 hr vomiting bug Maureen was confined to barracks and was devotedly supported by Mike who remained by her side and forfeited a Michelin star meal to mop her brow! However a new day a new woman – normal service is resumed!
So you’ve heard all about the new recruits – cars, boys but there are now toys – new addition to the challenge crew are two walkie talkies that were tested out on site today by Mike and Maureen who were sent out on a mission to forage for bread, milk and cash – the essentials in life.

Meanwhile back at Finca Ambrosia the team indulged themselves in leisure pursuits – walking, botanic photography, sunbathing and top bombing.

The foragers returned in time for the a major sporting fixture of the day – Scotland v Argentina played at Murrayfield. As we lay poolside – there was none of the customary Scots support to be heard – end result was a Scots victory – but no excitement!

However THE major fixture of the day was a Finca Ambrosia asado. This is an Argentinian barbecue – prepared and cooked by Ambrosia residents Pedro and Vanessa.

Como siempre magnifico! Meat sweats all round.
We have now realised why we have been given the guest blog spot – as the ‘core team’ are enjoying a day off from blog writing and as we write are still drinking – a bunch of sados after the asado!!

In true Argentinian style we have fallen at the first hurdle and are forced to leave a day early due to an Aerolineas strike on Monday. So our adventure (challenge?) begins tomorrow at 7.30am. We look forward to seeing these gorgeous guys again in Ushuaia – good luck on your last leg.
Farewell to Doug who returns to UK on Monday – Aerolineas depending ?
Over and out ……..
