After a night of torrential rain we woke up to beautiful sunshine and stunning views.

A breakfast (yes beans of course!) cooked by our host in his Robinson Crusoe style kitchen set us up for the descent to the real world.

The roads were less challenging than yesterday and this time we could see the spectacular views – starting deep in the rain forest

and descending through the foothills, again slowly behind large Mack and Kenwood trucks until the Pacific came in to view.
It was hot and steamy as we hit the deserted black beaches – its the off season so not even the surfers were there but even worse most of the cafes and bars were closed too!

Our resident boy racer just couldn’t help himself and had to spoil the virgin sand with the Costa Rican version of crop circles!

After visiting various beaches we lunched at the new luxury Quepos marina before arriving early afternoon at Jaco, our destination for the next 2 days. Couldn’t be more different to our first night in Costa Rica in a timeshare style American apartment but with great beach views

Anticipating luxury and wifi we manfully struggled with our various technologies and social media efforts only to have expectations dashed and perhaps a taste of whats to come over the next 72 days – snail like wifi, no toilet rolls or air conditioning but we are still having fun!!!
Guys
Looks amazing. Will be following.
Remember don’t take sweets from strange men, always say gracias and look both ways when you cross the road. Follow these simple rules and you should be fine.
